There is a national ‘vinyl flooring take back scheme’ which was founded in 2009. The aim is to re-cycle and re-use existing vinyl flooring (where possible) and off-cuts from newly fitted projects.
Smooth and safety vinyl flooring off-cuts are recycled into new flooring products and smooth uplifted flooring is reprocessed into traffic management systems, such as cones and sign bases.
We always aim to recycle as much flooring as possible and use the national drop-off sites where the materials are collected from. For larger scale projects, we can have containers placed on site for direct collections.
